Black Maidens step up preparations for Korea DPR game

The Black Maidens have intensified training ahead of their 2016 FIFA Women's World Cup quarter finals match against Korea DPR.

The Maidens begun preparation on Monday for the game which will be played on Thursday October 13 at the Al Hassan Stadium in Irbid.

Coach Augustine Adotey gave his players one- day rest on Sunday after beating Paraguay 1-0 on Saturday to book a quarterfinal place.

The team who moved from the Grand Hyatt hotel to Le Meridien hotel in Amman, had team video analysis session on Monday morning to identify mistakes in the previous game.

Coach Adotey, the technical team and the players will resume training from Monday afternoon till Wednesday before the crunch quarterfinal match on Thursday.

Head coach of the side has however admitted that though he knows little about Ghana's next opponents, he will prepare his team well ahead of the game.

"We still don’t have any information about Korea DPR, the team we’re facing in the quarters, but as they finished top of Group C, we’ll clearly have to be well-prepared",Coach Adotey said at the post match press conference after the final group game.

Kick off time for Ghana's quarterfinals match is 16:00pm(1:00pm local time).
