Black Meteors wrap up training ahead of Egypt friendly on Thursday

The Ghana U23 team will face off with the Egypt U23 team on Thursday, June 15, as part of preparations for the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The friendly will give the two national teams the chance to test their strength ahead of the U23 AFCON.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko, head coach of the Ghana U23 team is upbeat ahead of the friendly and is looking forward to a good game.

Nicknamed the Black Meteors, the Ghana U23 team arrived in Egypt on Monday for a pre-tournament training camp.

Tomorrow’s friendly match will be played at the Alexandria Stadium.

After the game, Ghana will play at least one more friendly before travelling to Morocco for the U23 AFCON.

At the tournament, Ghana will face off with host nation Morocco, Congo, and Guinea in the group stages.

Ghana will be aiming to not only win the U23 AFCON but to secure qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games.
