The major leagues in Ghana were brought to a one month halt after the outbreak of the coronavirus with players and coaches self-isolating as a result.

In an interview with Royal FM, Basigi also expressed hope that the virus subsides soon.

“For me, if they say they should cancel the leagues and restart next year, we will accept it. If they also say that we should continue with some measures and start a new one strongly next year, it will depend on them. We are praying that the coronavirus subsides so that peace reigns in the country and world”.
