Black Queens defender Linda Eshun completes move to Iceland topflight side IR Football Club

Ghana female international footballer Linda Eshun will feature in Iceland after completing a move to top-flight division side Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur (IR Football Club) in the ongoing transfer window.

The 30-year old defender joins the club from Ghanaian Women’s Premier League club, Hasaacas Ladies and is expected to play a huge role for his new outfit as they seek to make a huge impact.

The defender is set for her second spell in Iceland having previously featured for Grindavik FC.

Linda Eshun has played for the Ghana women's national football team since 2014. She competed at the 2014 African Women's Championship.

The 27-year-old has previously played in the United States for Robert Morris College.

She was part of the Black Queen contingent that played in the recent Turkish Cup tournament which Ghana came second.
