The national U-20 team, Black Satellites have departed the shores of Ghana for the 2019 African Games in Morocco.

The team left Ghana for Morocco in the early hours of Wednesday, August 14 to prepare for the upcoming All African Games which commences on August 16, 2019.

Initially, qualification for the African Games tournament was shared with that of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations. Following the delay of the third round of qualification from June to September 2019 (after the African Games vent), CAF selected representative teams from nations that had participated in the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

With a team virtually made up of local-based players, Coach Yaw Preko is optimistic the lads will make an impressive showpiece in Rabat.

Ghana will begin their campaign on Saturday, August 17 when they take on Burundi’s U-20 team before slugging it out with Senegal and Mali in the next Group games.
