Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin wants to win FIFA U-17 world Cup

Head Coach of the national under-17 team the Black Starlets, Paa Kwesi Fabin has set sights on the FIFA under-17 world cup trophy.

Ghana who are two times champions have been drawn with host India, Colombia from South America and the United States of America in Group A of the FIFA world U-17 Cup slated for October this year.

The team has been preparing for the global tournament at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Pampram since last month and Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin who has beefed up the squad says he wants to win the world Cup.

“Every team goes in a tournament with the mindset of winning the trophy, so that is the main aim going into the tournament,” Coach Fabin revealed on Asempa FM.

“And I am very excited with new inclusions in my team, who are really prolific in the respective endeavors on the field of play and this has brought about competition in the team,” he added.

The Black Starlets are returning to the world cup after a decade of absence, following their second place finish at the Africa Junior Championship in Gabon early this year.

Ghana will be looking at winning her third FIFA U-17 world after winning it for the second time in 1995.
