This win demonstrates their readiness for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 competition in May.

Striker Godfred Sarpong was the star of the match, scoring a brace, while Joseph Narbi delivered an incredible finish to contribute to the Starlets' 3-0 lead. The Shining Stars managed to reduce the tally just before halftime, but the Starlets' dominance was evident throughout the game.

The match began with Joseph Narbi breaking the deadlock within a minute, thanks to a beautiful build-up from Mark Kagawa. As the Shining Stars were settling into the game, Sarpong increased the tally in the 19th minute with an impeccable through pass from defender Harve Gbafa. Sarpong scored his second goal six minutes later, taking the team’s tally to 3.

Despite the Shining Stars' relentless efforts to reduce the tally, Theophilus Ayamga scored the fourth goal for the Black Starlets moments after the break, capitalizing on a blunder by the Shining Stars' goalkeeper.

The Black Starlets remain unbeaten in their preparatory games, with 8 wins and one draw. They are set to depart Accra later this month for a 4-nation tournament in Russia.

This victory is a promising sign for Laryea Kingston’s boys as they gear up for the upcoming tournaments.
