Black Stars begin preparations for Nigeria and Uganda friendly games in Morocco

Black Stars have commenced their preparations for the upcoming friendly games against Nigeria and Uganda respectively.

Ghana are set to clash with Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Grande Stade Marrakech, followed by a match against Uganda at the same venue on March 26.

The four-time African champions began their training session in Morocco under the new technical team led by Otto Addo.

A chunk of the 26 players invited for the games participated in training today as the team gear up for the upcoming games.

Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, who recently reached a new milestone in the French Ligue was spotted at Black Stars training including, Tariq Lamptey, Denis Odoi, and Jojo Wollacot.

Other players, who participated in the training are, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Patrick Kpozo, Antoine Semenyo, Alidu Seidu, Ernest Nuamah, and Jordan Ayew.

Otto begins his reign against the two African countries and will be hoping for a flying start to his second spell with the national team.

The former Ghana International replaced Chris Hughton, who was shown the exit door following the Black Stars poor performance at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Ghana trio Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams and Joseph Paintsil have been excused from this games.
