Ghana defender, Kasim Nuhu Adams believes the Black Stars can only win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] with a consistent team.

The West African country having won the last continental trophy in 1982 has failed to win any major trophy.

The Black Stars have come close in 1992, 2010 and 2015 but have failed to annex the ultimate.

Following the re-appointment of Milovan Rajevac on a one-year renewable contract, the Ghana Football Association has tasked the Serbian to end the country's 39 years trophy drought.

But the Hoffenheim defender believes the country will be able to win the Afcon trophy with a consistent team.

"Black Stars is capable of winning the AFCON but must have a consistent team," he said in an interview.

Ghana are in Group C alongside Comoros, Gabon and Morocco.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted in Cameroon next year from January to February.
