Former Black Stars defender, Sam Johnson, has tipped the Black Stars to overcome their current troubles and win AFCON 2017 in January.
The Stars will take on Egypt, Uganda and Mali in Group D of the championships which take place in Gabon.
The team has suffered a dip in form which stretches to four matches without a win, a situation which has brought a lot of pressure on the players and head coach Avram Grant.
However, the former Hearts of Oak defender believes the Stars can win the fifth AFCON title.
“I believe despite the lack of support, Ghana can win the 2017 AFCON.”
“Tamale is part of Ghana and obviously the team lacked support against Uganda but I can say they need us to survive.
“For them to win the AFCON they need us and we need them. Let us do things properly and I know Ghana will win the AFCON".
