Black Stars coach CK Akonnor hands Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad late call-up

Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has handed Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad a late call-up ahead of upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Danlad, who was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper at the just ended Africa U-20 Cup of Nations has been included in the Black Stars squad.

The 18-year-old joins Eric Ofori Antwi, Joseph Addo and Razak Abalora in camp to continue preparations.

He churned out impressive performances as the Black Satellites won the 2021 Africa U20 Championship in Mauritania.

The highly-rated youngster kept six games for Ghana and conceded three goals.

The Black Stars have been in preparations for the doubleheader this month against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.

Ghana play Bafana Bafana on March 25 before taking on Sao Tome three days later.
