Former Ghana skipper Stephen Appiah is confident the current players of the national team will enjoy their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt on November 13. The Black Stars are scheduled to play their second group E game against the Pharaohs on Sunday in Alexandria with a win on their minds having drawn their first game against Uganda at home in a 0-0 draw where as Egypt beat Congo 2-1 in Brazzaville to top the group. Pundits have tagged the seven times African Champions favourites ahead of the game against Ghana who have failed to win in their last four games. However, former captain of the Black Stars Stephen Appiah is upbeat.

“We all know that it is a big game looking at the result we got against Uganda makes the game more than difficult for us. Playing with Egypt is always a pleasure. In my playing days, I loved the challenge of playing against big teams, and I think Egypt will be one these players will like.” Egypt coach Hector Cuper has named his strongest side yet in the run-up to the game against Ghana. A perfect cocktail of local and international stars have been brought in to aid the Pharoah’s massive qualification to a first World Cup since 1990. Meanwhile, Ghana coach Avram Grant has lost his captain and the nation’s top scorer Asamoah Gyan to injury but will be relying on the other players to step up to aid his side to a win.
