Blackpool Academy Manager Warren Green has expressed his delight after English-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent, Cameron Antwi signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old put-to-paper on a one-year deal with the League 1 side, having an option for a further season.
He will link up with Neil Critchley’s first-team squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
"When Cameron joined us, it was an early sign of intent from Simon Sadler on how important he views developing our own players," Green told the club's official website.
"Cameron has seized his opportunity really well. He excelled in the U18’s and went on to do exceptionally well in the Central Development League last season.
"Working under a Head Coach like Neil Critchley, who is renowned for supporting and nurturing players to achieve their potential, will be a great help to Cameron.
"We wish him all the very best and will watch how he progresses over the next few years with interest."
Antwi began his career at Fulham before joining the Seasiders in the summer of 2019, where he has since gone on to flourish in the development squad.
