Italian Serie A side, Hellas Verona has confirmed that Ghanaian international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with a pulmonary microembolism (a blood clot in the lungs).

The hardworking midfielder’s situation was confirmed earlier today by the club in a statement which further explained that he is being kept at the Sacro Cuore hospital in Negrar for treatment and further tests.

It further revealed, “The player’s conditions are good and he will remain under observation for a few days.”

Agyemang Badu, 28, recently joined Hellas Verona on a season-long loan with an option to buy from Udinese.

He is now being closely monitored to ensure the dangerous infection do not turn fatal.

Badu is expected to play a key role in midfield for Verona in the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
