Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris is expected to undergo tests after picking an injury in FC Nantes's loss against Saint Etienne in the French Ligue 1 on Friday.

The 27-year-old was replaced by French youngster Randal Kolo in the 68th minute as a result of the injury.

St. Etienne piled more misery on FC Nantes after beating them 3-0 in week 15 of the league.

The defeat at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard came at a big loss for the Canaries following an injury to the former FC Porto loanee who has started finding his best form for the club.

The substitution of Waris and goalkeeper Anton Tatarusanu who also suffered an injury created a big vacuum in the side's play as they shortly conceded the opening goal via Robert Beric on the 72nd minute.

Wahbi Kazri made it 2-0 in the 84th minute before defender Timothée Kolodziejczak headed in the goal of the Verts.

The former Lorient forward has made 15 appearances and scored once for Vahid Halilhodzic's outfit.

He joined Nantes from Portuguese giants FC Porto on loan.
