The American is still looking for his first Premier League win after replacing Francesco Guidolin last month but was forced to watch on as his side were turned over by an impressive United, deepening a sense of crisis at the club.

Swansea are now six points from safety and have not won since the opening day of the season and Bradley says the fans have every right to be as angry as he is, labelling the performance against United as desperately short of the required standard.

There's only one way to win the supporters and that'sto play better and take points. I know there's back and forth going on (with the fans and the board) but our focus can only be on what we can control and that's how we play.

But we did not do enough to win them over. The fans were angry at us and I understand. They had every right to be and we have to be honest about the work that needs to be done.

There was a lack of commitment from some. We had players close enough to get tight (to United's players) and it wasn't that we were stretched over the field. They had three shots on goal and had three goals.

But with the ball they had too easy a time, even in areas when we knew where the ball was coming. The confidence and commitment...they dictated the terms too much. To play against a good team like that, maybe you get through 0-0, that's not the way we set out to play.

So, yes, I was angry with some of them “ but when the team doesn't play well the first person I am angry with is myself.

Bradley was particularly critical of his side's defending for the goals, slamming his players for not showing enough commitment.

It's a tough spot, there's no two ways about it. We understand very clearly where we are. There's no hiding from the situation. We understand the areas we have to be better. We got pushed too deep that when you do come away from the ball you give it back too quickly.

Defensively, even when we had people close to the ball, we didn't have the commitment to get to it quickly. The second-half was a little progress, but I can't take solace from playing a bit better when 3-0 down.
