Bochum Director of Sport Sebastian Schindzielorz delighted with Jordi Osei-Tutu return

Bochum Director of Sport Sebastian Schindzielorz is elated Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu has returned to the club on a permanent basis.

The 23-year-old, who spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bochum joins the club on a three-year after successful negotiations.

Osei-Tutu played 22 games for VfL, where he scored scored five goals and provided three assists.

After his return to London, Arsenal loaned him out to Cardiff City, Nottingham Forrest and, last season, to Rotherham United. With the 'Millers' from South Yorkshire, he finished second in League One and was promoted to the Championship, the second highest division in England.

"We know Jordi Osei-Tutu very well, the memories of his skills and strengths are still very fresh in everyone's mind," said Sebastian Schindzielorz, Director of Sport, at VfL Bochum 1848.

"Speed, dynamism and technique are what set him apart. We continued to watch him after his season at VfL and followed his development. Jordi has matured further, his potential is still enormous. We are optimistic that he will make the leap to the Bundesliga."
