Bologna will not be able to use Godfred Donsah when the Italian Serie A season resumes next month due to the latest agreement between the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) and the European Club Association (ECA).

The Ghanaian international spent the 2019/2020 football season on loan at Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Cercle Brugge. Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, the season ended early for the midfielder and he is set to return to his parent club.

In the midst of the crisis, FIFA and ECA at a meeting this week has agreed for loan players to continue as loan players until the calendar year ends.

In line with that, though Godred Donsah is returning to Bologna, he will not be eligible to play for his team when the Italian Serie A campaign resumes in mid-June.
