Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl has signed a new contract, keeping him with the Bundesliga club until 2021.
The 21-year-old central midfielder still had two years remaining on his current contract, but has clarified his future by signing an extension.

The youngster has impressed since signing for BVB 18 months ago from Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich. He made the jump in divisions for only £2m, but Dortmund are expected to command ten times that amount to any clubs attempting to pry him away.
According tothe Mirror, the deal is expected to see Weigl's salary treble, from £20,000 a week to £60,000 a week.
Pep Guardiola and Manchester City were reportedly showing an interest in the midfielder having lost Ilkay Gundogan to injury for the remainder of the season.
Weigl, who has established himself as first choice under Thomas Tuchel,made a considerable 51 appearances for Dortmund last season, and has alreadyracked up 20 so far this campaign.
He was also a part of the Germany squad that reached the semi-finals of the European Championships in Francelast summer.
