Marco Reus has revealed that he feels like a completely different player after he completed a remarkable comeback from injury thanks to a new, improved training regime.

The Borussia Dortmund star sat out the first three months of the 2016/17 campaign with a pelvic injury, but has returned in outstanding form with three goals and six assists in his first four matches of the season.

In an interview with German newspaper Bild (via Goal), Reus divulged that he had been working hard to increase his muscle mass during his rehabilitation period, and puts his world class performances on the field down to the work he has put in at Dortmund's training base after being sidelined for over 12 weeks.

He said: "I had lots of time to think about what I can change. Gaining more muscles is a part of that. I feel 100 per cent different now."

Reus surprisingly missed out on a place in Joachin Low's 23-man Germany squad for Euro 2016 after medical staff advised against his inclusion due to his injury troubles.

After working hard to return as soon as possible, however, the 27-year-old made an earlier than expected comeback for Thomas Tuchel's side in the record-breaking 8-4 Champions League stunner with CSKA Moscow on November 22.
