Ousmane Dembele has made it clear that he wants to play for Barcelona in the future, despite rejecting them in the summer.

According toMundo Deportivo, when the Catalan giants approached the young Frenchmanhe turned them down, but with an assertion that the move would happen in the future.

"Not now because I have to be a protagonist every Sunday to grow," he said. "But someday I'll play at Barca."

Dortmund signed the 19-year old forward from Rennes after a season that saw him net 12 times in 26 appearances. And clearly BVB weren't the only club that spotted his talents, with reports that Bayern Munich were keen on bringing in the talented youngster.

But it seems that after Dortmund, Dembele only has eyes for one other club. He has realised, however, that it won't be easy to break into a team with an attacking trident of Messi, Neymar and Suarez, and that may have been part of the dilemma when opting to reject the La Liga side.

Mundo Deportivoreport that Barcelona's technical secretary Robert Fernandez felt that the price tag for Dembele was too much of a bargain to turn down, due to the talent of the youngster. He was reportedly the preferred option for Fernandez who eventually opted for Paco Alcacer to strengthen the attacking options in the squad for a considerably higher cost of €30m.

Whether Barca will be tempted to go back in for Dembele is as yetunclear but the price will have increased drastically in his short spell in Germany so far.
