Bournemouth boss Howe delighted with Surridge, Mousset progress

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is delighted with the progress of two of his young strikers.

Sam Surridge is shining on-loan at Yeovil Town this season.

Howe told the Daily Echo: "I'm really pleased for him. Sam is a great lad with a great attitude – he wants to do well.

"He's very focused and a very driven young lad.

“I'm very pleased to see he is scoring goals for Yeovil and, hopefully, they are the first of many."

Meanwhile, Howe has high hopes for Lys Mousset.

The France under-21 international has come off the bench on four occasions this season in the Premier League.

"When you consider the player who first came to us, I think he has made dramatic strides in many areas of his game," said Howe.

"I think there is so much more to come. I see the player in training every day so I'm at an advantage to other people – I see what is there and what he can become in the future.

"He has the ability to go right to the top. He has lots of things he needs to improve to get there but I don't think we've seen the very best of him in a Bournemouth shirt yet.

"There is lots of hard work ahead of Lys but, ultimately, he could become an outstanding player."
