Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Ghana Premier League giants Obuasi Ashanti Gold has completed the signing of striker Nana Opoku.
Nicknamed the Miners, the club currently sits 1st on the standings of the Ghana Premier League and in a good position of going all the way to lift the title at the end of the season.
Set to lose captain and striker Shafiu Mumuni who is on the verge of joining Romanian side CFR Cluj, Ashanti Gold has jumped into the market to try and bring in a replacement.
Following successful negotiations, they have signed Nana Opoku from Qatari club Al Markhiya. Known for his impressive display for Berekum Arsenal during the 2010/2011 season where he bagged 16 goals, the attacker is joining the Obuasi-based side with a lot of expectations on his shoulders.
