BREAKING: Dr. Tony, Aubynn, Fred Achie, George Amoako win Exco seats to represent premier league clubs

Board chairman for Medeama SC, Dr. Tony Aubynn and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Obuasi Ashanti Gold Frederick Acheampong have all been voted for to represent Premier League clubs on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The Premier League Clubs are to have five representation on the new Executive Council of the country’s football governing body according to the regulations of the proposed statutes from the Normalization Committee.

At the end of the elections today, Dr. Tony Aubynn, Frederick Acheampong, Oduro Sarfo, George Amoako, and Kingsley Osei Bonsu have all been elected to sit on the council on behalf of the top-flight clubs.

Dr. Aubynn pulled the highest votes at the end of the polls with a total of 14 votes. He was followed keenly by Frederick Acheampong with 11 votes, as George Amoako and Kingsley Osei Bonsu tied with 10.  Nana Oduro Sarfo of Berekum Chelsea earned his spot with 9 votes.

With a total of seven candidates contesting for the five available slots, Hearts of Oak Managing Director Federick Moore and Aduana Stars CEO Albert Commey missed out.
