Black Stars coach Avram Grant has handed a starting role to goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey and midfielder Thomas Partey in Ghana’s international friendly with Russia on Tuesday evening.
This is Kwarasey’s first match for Ghana since Avram Grant took over from Kwasi Appiah after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Since his return to the team he has been second to Razak Brimah who for many is not fit to be the first choice goalie for Ghana.
Atletico Madrid Stars Thomas Partey has also been handed his first starting role for the Black Stars.
There will be the usual back four of Harrsion Afful on the right, Baba Rahman at left back with the central defensive pair of Jonathan Mensah and John Boye.
Mubarak Wakaso who missed the last game against Rwanda will start in midfield with Afriyie Acquah and Thomas Partey.
Newcastle new signing Christian Atsu will operate on the left flank with Jordan Ayew and Frank Acheampong operating in attack.
