Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially relieved coach David Duncan of his position as head coach of the team, footballghana.com can exclusively reveal.

The Former Hearts of Oak manager has been away from the team for some time now after been asked by management to step aside following their difficult start to the season.

Since management took that decision, the Porcupine Warriors’ season turned around under the guidance of assistant coach Michael Osei.

And with the second half of the season starting next weekend, the 46-year-old, who guided the Porcupine Warriors to a second place finish last season, has ended his relationship with the club.

Duncan purchased all the top-notch players he asked for and as the results did not match the amount spent forced the hand of management.

The Kotoko management is yet to take a decision on assistant coach Michael Osei who has been acting since Duncan was told to step aside.
