Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have fired their Japanese coach Keninchi Yatsuhashi on Monday following a meeting with the board of the club, Footballghana.com can exclusively reveal.
The tactician who also holds American nationality was officially informed of the decision on Monday after a board meeting.
He was sacked after just six months in charge of the Phobians and has been credited for reviving the fortunes of the Accra giants.
The sacking means he has only been in charge of the side for just the first half of the season.
Hearts are fourth on the league table after the first round of the league with seven wins, five draws and three losses.
However a fractious relationship with the club's board looks to have forced the decision to sack the coach who was accused of not cooperating with the board for a smooth running of the club.
The Japanese trainer went into the dark books of the Phobians management following his famous Facebook post claiming his backroom staff and players were owed salaries and winning bonuses.
The management sent signals of sacking of the former Aspire Academy trainer but the supporters kept kicking against the decision insisting the trainer has rekindled the team spirit.
Kenichi, before his appointment, was a high school trainer but succeeded in building an impressive away record for the Phobians.

Reports emerged after the side’s loss to the Dansoman-based side that the Japanese trainer was set for the sack with some of the management members claiming he has a poor home record.
The Phobians have recorded an impressive away record in the first round of the league, winning four and drawing four in their away encounters while losing three, winning three and drawing one at home.
