BREAKING NEWS: Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena undergoes successful heart surgery

Ghana and UD Levante forward Raphael Dwamena has undergone a successful heart surgery, footballghana.com can report.

The 24-year-old was ruled out of action indefinitely after being diagnosed with a heart condition last October.

The condition causes an irregular and fast heart rate and can result in dizziness, shortness of breath and tiredness.

Reports from UD Levante says that the left-footed hitman has successfully undergone the surgery and is expected to be out of action for at least a month.

The operation was coordinated by Dr. Asso, in the presence of the head of the medical services of Real Zaragoza, Dr. De Los Martires, has consisted of two phases: the first has been the conduct of an electrophysiological study and, the second, the implantation of an ICD (Implantable Automatic Defibrillator), which protects you in case of severe arrhythmias.

It is the second major health scare that Dwamena has suffered during his professional career.
