BREAKING NEWS: Gladson Awako rejoins Great Olympics camp ahead of Hearts of Oak encounter

Great Olympics captain, Gladson Awako has rejoined Great Olympics camp ahead of their crunchy game against Hearts of Oak.

The 29-year-old was expected to the Mantse Derby due to Black Stars camping for the upcoming friendlies this month.

Awako is part of the eight local players who has been named in Black Stars squad for the Ivory Coast and Morocco friendlies.

However, CK Akonnor, who is the head coach of the national team has released the player to join his parent club ahead of this weekend tie against their city rivals.

Great Olympics will host Hearts of Oak in the matchday 28 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko centre back, Ismail Ganiu and Medeama midfielder, Rashid Nortey have all been released.

The players are expected to the camp of the Black Stars to continue preparation for the international friendlies.

The Black Stars will host Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Stadium before travelling to Rabat to play Morocco.
