Brighton, the Premier League club known for its smart transfer dealings, has set its sights on securing a promising talent from the Dutch Eredivisie.

In a move that has sparked excitement among football fans, the Seagulls have entered the race to sign Ajax's highly-rated midfielder, Mohammed Kudus.

The talented player, who has been a key figure for Ajax has been linked to a lot of clubs in Europe.

The Black Stars midfielder joined the Dutch giants in 2020 from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland for 9 million euros. He made his official debut for the club on 20 September in a league match against RKC Waalwijk.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Mohammed Kudus is one of the top targets for Brighton this summer. He added that the deal won't be easy for the Seagulls and further dismissed rumoured talks with Chelsea.

The 22-year-old made 30 appearances, scored 11 goals, and assisted three in the 2022/23 Dutch Eredivisie.
