In a new report by transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, he claims that Bayer Leverkusen are ready to significantly up their offer to A.C. Milan for Jens-Petter Hauge.

The Bundesliga club saw their opening bid be rejected by the rossoneri, but apparently the young Norwegian is a top priority for Bayer, so they are at it again. Hauge saw limited participation in Serie A and Europa League play last season, but at times he showed great potential and was the decisive factor more than once for Milan in crucial matches; for example, against Napoli early last season he scored a wonderful chipped goal that closed the match for Il Diavolo. In total, he played 24 matches across all competitions last year, scoring 5 times and providing 1 assist.

Reportedly, Hauge is dissatisfied by his decreased playing time and Milan make no promises as to whether he'll play more this season. That's why, if the right offer reaches Milan's management, they are ready to sell him. However, the rossoneri seem to be looking for an offer that is no lower than 12-13M Euros, after they spent 5M last year to acquire him from Bodo Glimt.
