Bundesliga clubs chasing Ghanaian teenager Arvin Appiah's signature

The future of Nottingham Forest teenager Arvin Appiah remains the subject of speculation and he has been strongly linked with a move to Germany.

According to the Independent, Appiah is the subject of “serious Bundesliga interest” as they have included him in a list of youngsters based in England to have caught the eye of clubs in Germany – though they do not state the teams who are keen.

The Reds were understood to be in negotiations with the Ghanaian youngster over signing a new long-term contract earlier this month, but it is not clear how the change in manager has impacted that.

Former boss Aitor Karanka said the Nigel Doughty Academy prospect would be “an important player in the future, for Forest”.

But the Spaniard left the City Ground last week, with Martin O’Neill since announced as his replacement.
