Recently there was confusion about Erling Haaland's contract. For a long time it was assumed that Borussia Dortmund's goal machine (66 goals in 66 games) would be allowed to change in the summer of 2022 for a fixed fee of 75 to 100 million euros. But then the Spanish 'as' came along and reported that there was no such passage - only an oral agreement had been made.

Be that as it may: A Haaland move next summer remains a pretty realistic scenario, to whichever major club. Hans-Joachim Watzke knows that too. When asked by the 'world' about staying in Haaland, the BVB managing director replies: "Of course it will be difficult."

But Watzke also adds: “But I am not saying that it is completely out of the question. We'll do everything we can to keep our top players loyal to us in the future. ”Quite a challenge to clubs like Manchester City, FC Bayern or Real Madrid, where Haaland is very popular.
