Burnley Boss Sean Dyche Claims Jon Flanagan is Happy With Loan Spell Despite Lack of Game Time

Sean Dyche claimsright-back Jon Flanagan is enjoying his time at Burnley, despite featuring very little for the Clarets so farthis season.

The 23-year-old signed on a season-long-loan from Liverpool in August and has only featured in one game so far this season.

Sean Dyche insists he is under no pressure from #LFC to play the on-loan full-back, Jon Flanagan, in a set number of games this season.

Dyche, speaking to the Lancaster Telegraph, said: There is a good competition there. Flanners has fitted in well here and he's getting back to real fitness and sharpness, it takes a long time, we've seen it with our lads. He'd been out for a long time.

He's enjoying it, he wants to play of course but he's enjoying what we offer here.

Mathew Lowton and Irishman Stephen Ward currently occupy the full-back positions, they both have been putting in some impressing performances so far this season keeping Flanagan on the bench.

Recent reports have said Liverpool loanee's have to play 75% of games as it is part of their loan deal and so far it is looking like an early return for Flanagan in January and a loan move elsewhere if he doesn't get the required game time. The club can also be penalised financially if they don't meet the Reds' requirements.

But despite all of the reports about the clause Clarets manager Dyche admitted he wouldn't have signed the young full-back on loan if he had such a clause in his contract with the recent Championship winners.
