Burnley are currently in talks with representatives of Waris after a move for Leeds United striker Chruis Woods who banged in 30 goals last season fell through.

Waris is currently training alone in anticipation of a move from French lower side Loreint.

The 25-year old has already told the club of his desire to seek a new challenge after the failure to maintain their French Ligue 1 status.

Currently, Lorient have putt a £10million price tag on Waris whilst Burnley are ready to offer close to £8m.
