Burnley Hero Scott Arfield Hails Home Form and Insists Turf Moor Is a 'Terrible' Place for Opponents

Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield believes Turf Moor is a 'terrible' place for opponents to visit after helping to secure a hard fought 2-1 victory over Everton on Saturday, theMirrorreports.

The 27-year-old scored a last minute winner for the Clarets after Yannick Bolasie's first Everton goal looked to have secured a point for the visitors following Sam Vokes' opener.

Victory for Sean Dyche's men leaves them three points above the relegation zone with ten points- all of which have been secured at Turf Moor.

And Arfieldbelieves thatby making it 'uglier' to play against them at Turf Moor, visiting sides are struggling to break them down.

He said:Last season this was the main reason we got promoted. It is a terrible place to come for people.

They don't want to visit here. We went up a league and wanted to make it uglier at times. Get it all about us.

We did that. They wanted to play on the ball but we frustrated them. Last season we were technically better on the eye, but we have been hard to play against.

You get the top teams coming here and they want time on the ball. If we get in their faces, it will be difficult.

Arsenal did manageto secure three points in Lancashire in a hard fought victory last monthbutArfield has revealed manager Dyche showed them the video of the Gunners stars doing the 'dirty work' to get the win.

He added:I remember playing Arsenal here. They did to us what we wanted to do to them. It was so ugly at times. They got the second balls.

We watched it back and we saw a top side doing the dirty work better than us. Top players.

We have showed we can be a good technical team. But then there was the Liverpool game when they had 80 per cent possession, and we win the game! You can do it both ways.
