Nine-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt is set to embark on a new career, after Borussia Dortmund chief executiveHans-Joachim Watzke confirmed the fastest man on the planetwill be training with the first team.

The Jamaican sprint star, who has previous withpractical jokes, has long expressed his desire to play football professionally and afterrevealing last week that he would be training with the Bundesliga outfit, many took the announcementto be just anotherof his many pranks.

However, chief executive Watzke has confirmed,as reported by The Guardian, the revelationis 'no joke' and that Bolt will be indeed training with the Bundesliga outfit.

Both Bolt and Dortmund are sponsored by German sports manufacturing giant, Puma, and the Jamaican star contacted the sportswear's president to ask about training with the team.

We decided this some time ago, Watzke said.

Puma CEO Bjorn Gulden, who is member of our board, has told us that Usain is highly interested in practising with us.

For us that's no problem. Our coach Thomas Tuchel likes the idea as well. Of course he won't visit us in an important week with Champions League matches but maybe in the pre-season. We are delighted and take this as an honour."

But while Watzke maintains that is not just a marketing ploy, the chances of Bolt establishing a professional football career appear to be slim at best, after Dortmund's chief executive gave a swift reply to whether the treble treble winning Olympic Championhas a future at the club.

We don't even need to talk about it," Watzke replied.

That's that then. Maybe try another club, Usain. Preferably one looking for pace on the flanks.
