CAF CC: Ex-Kotoko defender Daniel Darkwah scores to help Enyimba progress to group stage

Ghanaian international, Daniel Darkwah was on target on Sunday afternoon to help his Enyimba FC side post a 2-1 win over TS Galaxy to secure progression to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The defender who joined the Nigerian giants in the summer transfer window started the match for the side and enjoyed a good game which ended with him getting his name on the scoresheet.

The ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender opened the scoring for his side on the 77th minute as they cruised to a convincing 2-1 win.

Having won the first leg of the tie with 2-0 scoreline, Enyimba FC is now through to the money zone of the CAF Confederations Cup with a 4-1 aggregate win over the South Africans.

Darkwah’s compatriot, Farouk Mohammed was also in action for the Aba-based club as they marched on in the second-tier inter-club competition.
