CAF Champions League: Asante Kotoko set to play Kano Pillars on August 10

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko will play Kano Pillars in the first leg tie of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on 10th August, Footballghana.com can confirm.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Nigeria to lock horns with Pillars in the knockout round of the competition after they were paired with  Kano-based club in a draw that held in  Cairo on Sunday.

The return leg tie will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on the weekend of 23-25 August.

Coach Kjetil Zachariassen's side are currently preparing for their CAF Champions League campaign as they managed to beat Burkinabé side Rahimo FC 2-1 in a preseason friendly yesterday in Kumasi.

Kotoko won the slot to represent Ghana in this year's CAF Champions League after winning the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition tier-1.
