Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has expressed confidence in the team to beat Kano Pillars in the second leg of the first qualifying round of the CAF Champions League.

The Ghana Premier League side is carrying the hope of the entire country and will need to win the upcoming fixture after losing the first leg 3-2 to the Nigerian Premier League giants.

Speaking in an interview ahead of the deciding fixture, Georg Amoako has indicated that he has confidence in the Porcupine Warriors’ ability to beat their opponent due to the performance they put up when they visited the Kano-based club last weekend.

“Look at my team, Kotoko, they did not play top 100% but I can give them 75% which is good enough for this team we are putting together. We have a good future to look forward to”.

“Three two away in Kano. What do you expect in Kumasi? We are going to qualify but the help of God”, the experienced football administrator shared in a recent interview.

Kotoko is scheduled to host Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 25, 2019. A win without conceding will guarantee the Reds qualification into the next round of the CAF Champions League.
