CAF CL: Karim Zito wants Kotoko work their defense ahead of Kano Pillars game

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach and now Technical director for Dreams FC, Karim Zito has urged Kotoko to work on their defense before they go into their second leg tie against Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League.

His suggestion comes on the back of the first leg result the Porcupine Warriors return to Kumasi with where they conceded three goals. Though they played well and manage to bag two away goals, they, unfortunately, lost 3-2 at the end of the 90 minutes.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Ashh FM, Karim Zito commended the team for their impressive performance but cited that the technical handlers of the Reds must work on the defense of the team to ensure they do not concede a lot going forward.

“Kotoko did well but my problem is how they conceded those three goals. This technical handles must work on how they have been conceding goals because it can cause the team moving forward”, the Dreams FC technical Director said.

He added, “Playing in Africa, all departments in the team must work to perfection because it won’t be an easy game”.

Kotoko is set to welcome Kano Pillars to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on August 25, 2019, for the second leg of their encounter.
