CAF Confederation Cup: Asante Kotoko will not change their style of play ahead of Nkana clash - Coach C.K Akunnor

Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor has assured supporters he will not alter his playing style ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup match-day four fixture against Nkana FC on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors will be welcoming the Zambian giants in their Group C must-win encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko suffered their second successive away defeat in the 3-1 loss to Nkana in the first leg tie in Kitwe, Zambia last weekend.

“I have given the boys the believe to possess the ball all the time,” Akunnor told reporters ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

“Sometimes it goes well and sometimes it doesn’t. But, I am not going to change the style of play because they believe in that style and they would do it very well tomorrow.”

“We are already successful in the CAF Confederation Cup because nobody thought we would be here three or four months ago.

“We would improve, and since I am here, I would do my best to improve this team."

A win at the Baba Yara Stadium will enhance the chances of Asante Kotoko to qualify from the group stage of the competition for the first time since 2008.
