CAF Confederation Cup: Ashanti Gold skipper Amos Addai confident of sealing qualification against Salitas FC

Ashanti Gold SC skipper Amos Addai is highly optimistic his side will seal qualification against Burkinabe side Salitas FC in the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup.

Ashgold were held to a goalless draw by Salitas FC on Sunday in the first leg tie at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Despite the disappointing draw, Amos Addai is confident they can pick a win in the reverse fixture later this week in Ouagadougou.

"We can also do something away at Salitas. It will all depend on our determination and hard work. We must try and score a goal over there. The game is still open since we didn’t concede at home", he told Happy FM.

"Heading into the game we were worried about our defense but we didn’t concede and our attack couldn’t score; we are going to work hard in the second leg.

"It’s going to be a do and die affair in the second leg and we are confident on securing qualification in the second leg”, he added.

The Miners leave Ghana on Friday for the return leg this weekend.
