CAF Confederation Cup: AshantiGold set to depart Ghana for Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday ahead of Akonangui FC game

AshantiGold SC are set to leave Ghana on Wednesday for Equatorial Guinea ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first leg clash against Akonangui FC.

The Miners will play the Equatorial-Guinean side on Sunday in the preliminary round qualifiers for the CAF inter-club competition.

Coach Ricardo Da Rocha and his lads have been preparing intensively for the game with friendlies against both foreign and local clubs.

The Brazilian gaffer is expected to name an 18 man squad for the trip together with five other officials.

The Obuasi based side will be looking for a good result before the second leg clash in Ghana in two weeks time.

Akonangui FC are the current holders of the Equatorial Guinean FA Cup.
