Asante Kotoko have been knocked out of the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup following a 2-0 loss to FC San Pedro in the second leg tie of the final playoffs on Sunday.

The Ivorian side FC have progressed to the group stages of the Confederation Cup on a 2-1 aggregate after a comfortable victory in Abidjan.

A goal apiece from Soumaro Cheick and Tidjae Diomande helped FC San Pedro to seal a 2-0 home win over Kotoko at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.

The Orange lads frustrated the two-time CAF Champions League title holders with an early goal through Soumaro Cheick.

After the recess, Kotoko had few chances but Matthew Kelvin Andoh and Richard Arthur fluffed their lines.

A late goal scored by Tidjae Diomande handed FC San Pedro the ticket to the group stages of the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup
