Asante Kotoko skipper Amos Frimpong is anticipating a difficult game against Zambian champions Zesco United in the Caf Confederation Cup group C game on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors, who lost their group C opener to Al Hilal will welcome Zesco United, to the Baba Yara stadium in matchday two of the Confederation Cup.

On other the hand, Zesco made a good start to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup when they defeated Nkana FC 2-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to go top of group C.

The match fixed for 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, would be the first group game Kotoko play in front of their vociferous home fans in this season’s Confederation Cup and would relish the home advantage.

Speaking exclusively in an interview with GNA Sports, the 27-year-old defender said, he was confident of a win, however, he called on the supporters to be the team's extra strength.

“This game would be very difficult because Zesco is a good and experienced side when it comes to Africa, but we would work hard on Wednesday to gain the important three points.”

“The most important thing is the three points and even 1-0 win, would give us three points, so we are going into the game to win”.

Asante Kotoko, who are currently third in the group C table will be looking to get back to winning ways to enhance their chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the competition.
