CAF Confederation Cup: Obed Owusu can unlock Songne Yacouba goalscoring prowess for Kotoko - Thomas Duah

Former AshantiGold SC player, Thomas Duah has disclosed why Kotoko talisman Songne Yacouba is not scoring more goals in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Duah believes Songne Yacouba lack of goals will end when the technical bench of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC introduces Obed Owusu to the first time since he has the character and does not easily loss balls but connects well with upfront players.

He opined to Kumasi Ashh FM that, Songne will start scoring goals for the Reds when Obed gets to play each match due to his style of play by holding balls to serge forward and supply to the striker than operating from the flanks.

"Obed Owusu must also be given the chance to play because he has the experience for such games. Obed does not loss balls so easily and can help Songne Yacouba on any day because of his style of play".

"I requested Obed Owusu for Kotoko because I saw the qualities in him during his days at Berekum Chelsea. He is very good in holding balls to supply upfront", the fomer Black Stars midfielder said.

Songne Yacouba has scored only once in their 2019 Caf campaign after making eight appearances for the Reds.
