Ghana and Zesco United forward Rahim Osmanu is confident Asante Kotoko and his outfit will qualify for the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after the Reds recorded a convincing win on Wednesday.

The Zambian giants suffered their first loss of the campaign following a 1-0 loss to the Porcupine Warriors on matchday two of the competition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The mouth-watering performance from coach C.K Akunnor side has earned praises from Rahim Osmanu, who halved the deficit for Zesco.

"If you see the performance of teams in the group, I think we and Kotoko will qualify to the next stage round following the quality performance we’ve shown after two games," Osmanu stated on Happy FM.

"Our aim is to finish top of the group, but I see Kotoko as a strong competitor who looks like joining us in the next round."

Kotoko will travel to Zambia to face Nkana FC on matchday three on Sunday, February 24 while Zesco United will engage Al Hilal in Sudan.
