CAF Confederation Cup: Zesco United will shock Kotoko in Kumasi - Rahim Osmanu

Ghana and Zesco United striker Rahim Osmanu is confident his side will beat Asante Kotoko in match-day two of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Zambian champions Zesco United made a good start to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup when they beat Nkana FC 2-0 in a game played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to go top of group C.

Ahead of the crucial match, the 23-year-old says he and his teammates will be ready to battle for the three points as they set sight on advancing to the quarter-finals of the competition.

"It will not be an easy game but we can't afford to drop points tomorrow (Wednesday) against Kotoko," Osmanu told Kickgh.com after today's training at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

"Kotoko is a big club in Africa as well as Zesco United. They [Kotoko] can't be underrated on any day despite losing their first match [against Al Hilal in Sudan],"

"We're hoping to beat them in Kumasi tomorrow (Wednesday) to silence them before they travel to Zambia to face us in the return leg encounter"

"We're two Ghanaian players at Zesco United. We'll be glad to see our countrymen supporting us during the match" he concluded.

He is one of the top strikers in the Zambian top-flight league.
