CAF Confederations Cup: Aduana Stars coach confident about Hearts of Oak’s chances despite defeat in GPL opener

Aduana Stars coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin is confident about Hearts of Oak chances in the CAF Confederations Cup despite defeat in the Ghana Premier League opener.

The Phobians suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday as the domestic top-flight commenced in a grand style.

Bright Adjei’s goal in the 49th minute ensured the fire boys pick all point at stake in matchday 1 of the league season.

Despite the defeat, the former Kotoko coach believes the Phobians have got a formidable team to compete in Africa.

“I hope Hearts of Oak makes Ghana proud in Africa. They have quality players and are solid in all department” he told Kumasi FM.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have been exempted from the first preliminary round games and are expected to begin their campaign from the second round of the preliminary games.
